Capsule Caboose was a published "occasionally" by the Valdosta State Personnel Office as a newsletter for employees concerning subjects like retirement, insurance, taxes, and financial matters. The Archives has copies dating from 1977-1991.
Cardinal Key / Black Key

Carol Mikkelsen Papers
Dr. Carol Mikkelsen, Adjunct Professor of Voice at VSU donated VSU Opera production posters. The posters are from the 1970's through the present. She also donated materials she used in producing her dissertation, which was concerned with Spanish Music Theatre with a focus on Zarzuela.

Charlie H. Skinner Primitive Baptist Foot Washing Bowl
This metal bowl was used for foot washing in the New Ramah Primivite Baptist Church in Berrien County. It was donated by Charlie Skinner, who was a member in his youth. The bowl is white with a red rim.

History of the Department: The Chemistry department and/or chemistry classes have been a part of the college since SGSNC. It is a part of the College of Arts and Sciences. Recent department heads include: Dr. Harry M. Duvall, 1970-1979; Dr. William B. Harrison, 1980-81; Dr. Robert Little, 1981-82, Dr. Maurice Lindauer, 1983-84, and Dr. Jesse Spencer, 1984 to the present.
Cherokee Collection
The Cherokee Collection at Valdosta State University Archives and Special Collections includes a large selection of periodicals from publications like the Cherokee Observer, The Cherokee Phoenix, The Cherokee Advocate, and The Journal of Cherokee Studies. It includes an extensive collection of books on Cherokee and Native American history and many binders of historical and genealogical materials as well as a selection of artifacts.
